New homeschool families and prospective members are welcome to attend. Our guest speaker will be Betty Smith, an OCHEC Trustee. Some experienced homeschool parents will also be present to share their favorite curriculums, and answer questions on how they have handled scheduling, teaching children of different ages, discipline, and other issues through the years.

Come talk to our team leaders about LIGHT activities or joining LIGHT. Want to know more about our Co-op classes, field trips, age specific clubs, or family events? Come to Open House and get your questions answered. Please join us as we kick off another great year of supporting homeschoolers in the metro.

Homeschooling Thru Highschool Seminar
Transformers for Christ will host a "Homeschooling Through High School" workshop from 4 pm to 8 pm at Life Church in McAlester. OCHEC board member Cindy Nicholai will be speaking on the subject. This will be a wonderful opportunity to gain more knowledge to help you on your homeschooling journey. Please contact Melanie Wood if you wish to attend, 918-329-9337.
Vendors throughout the community will be providing your family with information that can help you in your homeschool. This event will take place at Life Church McAlester from 10 am to 2 pm. Please get the word out and come see what the community has to offer. This annual event gives homeschoolers an opportunity to learn about and sign up for a variety of classes and activities offered to the homeschool community by outside individuals, organizations, and businesses such as art and music classes/lessons, physical education classes, martial arts, dance, band, orchestra, chess club, Boy Scouts, weekly middle school and high school classes, and NAHE’s own upcoming field trips.
