Simulations class is a creative, complete unit of instruction that incorporates traditionally taught material into a simulated environment in the classroom setting. Students are usually organized into small groups and role-play either actual persons or characterizations of persons in history or in social, economic, or political situations of today. Work from home . . . for OCHEC!
From the comfort of home, the OCHEC phone team volunteers retrieve messages from the answering machine and directs callers to the person or information they need. We assist those who are considering homeschooling and those who are currently homeschooling. We also help those who want to announce educational and service opportunities to home educators. Most of the time, we simply direct the callers to specific information on our website or to our Oklahoma Home Educators' Handbook.
Would you like to volunteer for the OCHEC phone team? To qualify, you must have 5 years of homeschooling experience. Your duties would require a few minutes one day a week on a three-month rotation. We will train you and equip you to return any phone call. Don't worry; this job is not too hard! There will always be someone there to answer any question that you cannot. You can do it!
Please contact the OCHEC phone team coordinator, Kim Stewart, at (405)330-8621 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you might be interested in being a part of this important ministry.

The intentions of this website are to build a homeschooling community where homeschoolers can get free curriculum. 1,000 members are already sharing their curriculum with other homeschoolers. Many homeschoolers are one income or low income families, and struggle with the cost of living, let alone curriculum. With this in mind, this is a place for homeschoolers where quality educational materials are free of cost. Members of Curriculum Share become part of a community that works together to make sure all of our children receive the best education we can give them. Curriculum Share is about cutting costs, not corners. You will pay only the cost of shipping agreed upon by you and the person you are getting your homeschool curriculum from. www.curriculumshare.com
